How to achieve your goals in 2022

Do you remember how you felt in the last quarter of 2021?

What about December 31, 2021? Like most people, you were excited about possibility, new levels and opportunities headed in your direction. The downfall of this yearly “New Year, New Me” mindset is that the majority of people don’t have realistic goals or important reasons to make them think about the improvements they want to change in their life.

Now, it's the 1st quarter of 2022 and reality has set in for most people along with the excitement wearing off. The real question is “Do YOU have that same energy or level of excitement?”

If not, then what can YOU do to get it back? Do you need an accountability partner, mentor, reprogram your mind or get clear on what you really want? Then, let’s get to it!

If you do have that same energy and level of excitement, CONGRATS and keep it going throughout the entire year!

Let’s start with your mindset. Are you ready to go to the next level? Are you ready for the ups and downs that come with it? It’s okay to be nervous or have concerns about goals. We all do but the key is to “Do it afraid.” This is what separates the people who actually achieve their goals and the ones who keep saying they are going to achieve their goals (but don’t actually do it).

Your goals should be clear with a deadline (meaning month, date and year). Also, you can go with monthly goals as well. Either way, your goals should be read and written down where you can look at them daily. If you need to adjust your goals or deadlines, then select another date and hold yourself accountable to the new date.

Next, break down your goals into manageable day to day actions that you can track and execute every day. Your goals can be written down in a notepad, computer, iPad, cell phone, sticky note, or calendar. Pick whichever method works for you and incorporate it into your lifestyle.

As the famous quote goes “The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can’t are both right.” This quote can be interpreted in a positive and negative light depending on the person’s mindset and how much they believe in themselves. However, the goal is always to be, act and think positive!

Take some out at the beginning of the day when you first wake up and before you go to bed to visualize yourself achieving your goals.

Time is the one thing we can’t get back, so MAKE EVERYDAY COUNT!

Always remember the following: daily goals turn into weekly goals, weekly goals turn into monthly goals, and monthly goals turn into yearly goals.

You will have to commit to your goals and stay focused. Naturally, you are going to have obstacles in your way but that doesn’t mean that you should half-step, quit, or give up because things aren’t going the way you planned from A-Z.

Celebrate your victories whether they are small or big. Then, get back to work and execute the next goal!

You can be anything you want. You can have anything you want.

The best time is right now in the present moment! You have the power to execute all of your goals in 2022 and in future years by following these steps.
